These are some of the many Green candidates who deserve special attention in the 2008 election. |

Claudia Ellquist for Pima County Attorney |
Kent Solberg is running for State Representative District 27 in Arizona. He received the endorsement of the Tucson STAR, the largest daily newspaper in the region. He also qualified for clean elections. |
Arkansas
If it weren't for the Green Party of Arkansas, every federal level candidate in Arkansas would be running unopposed. |
Richard Carroll is running essentially unopposed (there are two write-in candidates) for an open seat State Representative District 39. He has strong union support. |

Ross Mirkarimi is running for re-election to San Francisco Board of Supervisors District 5. Ross has two opponents. |
John Selawsky is running for re-election to Berkeley School Board, Alameda County. There are four candidates for two seats. |
Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap is running for re-election to Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District Division 1, Humboldt County. She has one opponent. |

Art Goodtimes is running for re-election to San Miguel County Commissioner District 3. He has two opponents. This is a partisan race. |

Charlie Pillsbury for New Haven Registrar of Voters, New Haven County, CT. If Charlie places second or higher the Greens will have a Registrar of Voters. This is a partisan race. |

| By voting strength the DC Statehood Green Party replaced the Republican Party as the second party in the District in 2006. |
David Schwartzman for City Council At-Large. David received the highest rating from the Washington City Paper. |

Cara Jennings is running for re-election to Lake Worth City Commission Seat 2, District 2, Palm Beach County. She has two opponents. |

| The Green Party of Illinois is running the most candidates of any state Green Party in the country, 54. |
Nadine Bopp is running for Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District. She received the endorsement of the Chicago Sun Times.

Charlie Howe is running for General Assembly District 115, Jackson County. Charlie is a great “shoe leather” candidate. |
Omar Lopez for U.S. House District 4, IL. Omar is a nationally recognized community activist and immigrant rights advocate. |
Ante Marijan is running for State Representative, District 2. He has gotten endorsements from the Chicago Sun-Times as well as the Chicago Tribune. |
Walter Pituc is running for Champaign County Board Seat 7. At 21 years old he is one of the youngest (if not the youngest) candidates running for a green partisan office in the country. |
Jason Wallace for U.S. House District 11 is one of the better organized partisan campaigns for the greens in Illinois. |
